Working in oil paint, watercolor, pastel and colored pencil mediums, the works are created using traditional techniques. Building layers of color I create a completed picture at each stage of the painting or drawing. More complex works take many weeks to complete.
I look for inspiration at home and when I travel.
Despite the fact that the “natural” world is all but disappeared, nature is a source of inspiration. My subjects are animals, in particular dogs, cats, horses and their people. Painting and drawing with light and shadow is how I see the world. Photographs are only a reference point.
The reproductions offered on this site are giclée prints. They are printed on fine papers and canvas.
My work is in private collections in the United States and Europe.
